Dixie Chicks in Dallas August 11, 2000

Here is a review of my Dixie Chicks experience that I've composed from several smaller ones I created. This is a letter I sent out.

Howdy from Waco.

I saw the Dixie Chicks Friday, (8/11/2000) night in Dallas, TX. I was quite impressed with how great the show was! I loved all the songs they sang. They all looked pretty good from where I was. I thought the giant fly before the show was fun! The stage was set up to look like a giant pair of jeans with a fly in the middle. They came out of it. Had to look fast to catch that part or might have missed it. That one was neat too. "Ready To Run" was the 1st song. They they also did several other hits including "If I Fall", "Wide Open Spaces", "Fly", "Tonight The Heartache's On Me", "Sin Wagon"(neat curtain effect here) , "Cold Day in July" (had 'snow' during the song), "When You Were Mine" and many others. A highlight was when they went to different places near the audience and did "Goodbye Earl." "Cowboy Take Me Away" was very well done as well. (It was a bit earlier) . Earl was during the encore. I guess it was about 2 hours long. I didn't have my watch. Overall it's a great show! That was definitely one of the best concerts i have ever been too! they rocked the house down!! The slide show of pictures was quite hilarious when they made fun of each other. They sang the Sheryl Crow song "Are You Strong Enough to Be My Man", and at the end it was great because they came out into the audience, Martie and Emily in the higher section and Natalie on the floor to sing "Goodbye Earl". Emily was closest to me. :) Was a great show indeed and I had a great time. This show sure was worth the 2 hour drive to Dallas, I can tell you that!! Well, I think I'll work on my website more.
