Martina McBride has built her amazing success in just 5 years. She has brown hair and those famous blue eyes. She was born Martina Schiff on July 29, 1966. She grew up on a dairy farm in Sharon, KS. She has 2 brothers and a sister. When she was just 7, she began to sing with her family's country band. Soon after she graduated from high school she moved to Wichita, KS. She played in several rock bands at that time. She met her future husband John McBride there also. In 1990 she moved to Nashville. John began to tour with Garth Brooks and Martina decided to work for Garth selling merchandise. This would prove to be a good move for her later on. Martina got her 1st record deal with RCA in 1992. This was The Time Has Come. Her 1st tour was opening for Garth.

Her powerful vocals show the emotions of the songs she sings to anyone who hears her. Her subject matters include, Love, integrity, triumph and others. She has won Gold and platinum record awards, a Grammy nomination and much praise from the country music community. She was invited to join the Grand Ole Opry in 1995. She has proven time and time again that she is here to stay and I could not agree more.
